The event was given title ‘SHALOM 2K23’ The entire event was organized by the Ist year students of physical science optional (2023-2025 batch) under the guidance of ROSY TINTU M.P, Assistant professor in physical science. The event was organized to commemorate the devastating atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki , Japan by US forces during world war II . The event emphasized the destructive nature of atom bombs and the significance of abolishing nuclear weapon for establishing peace in world. The event started with a power point presentation portraying horrors of nuclear attack in Hiroshima And Nagasaki. With an aim to Provide a platform for students to showcase their skills, talents, and achievements. Physical Science Association Scientech organized talents day on the 21st of August at 2:00 PM in the college auditorium. The event’s name, “Uyare,” a phrase resonating with “Get Ready to Rise Up with Your Talents,” encapsulated the essence of the day — a celebration of individuality and a showcase of unique abilities. The event not only displayed the incredible talents of the students but also shows the unity, and mutual encouragement that the association stands for.
The Physical Science Association – “SCIENTECH” organized Ozone Day celebrations on 15 September 2023 from 9.00 AM to 10.00 AM in the college auditorium. The Event was commemorated under the title “WORLD OZONE DAY 2023” and had a pure intention to create an understanding and awareness about the depleting Ozone layer. The event started with a PowerPoint presentation which explains the ill effects of the ozone layer’s depletion and made each student understand the importance of the ozone layer.
The event took its turn with an exciting treasure hunt organized by the students of Physical Science and students from Maths Optional became the winners. The most interesting part was the treasure which was the theme of Ozone Day, 2023, that is, “Fixing the ozone layer and reducing climate change”. A poster-making competition was also conducted and every optional actively participated in that. Students from Physical Science also excelled by enacting a mime on the stage where all students took part. The sole idea behind mime was to show the causes of ozone layer depletion and how it can affect the well-being of our Earth. A poster-making competition was also conducted and every optional actively participated in that and Prices were distributed to first ,second and third positions
