Kochi, November 1, 2023: The student Union of St Joseph College of Teacher Education for Women, Ernakulam 2023-24 batch was inaugurated on Thursday by popular Malayalam movie Director Dijo Jose Antony. The event was presided over by Sr Lucy Maria, and welcomed by Dr Alice Joseph, the Principal of the college.

In the inaugural address,Mr Dijo Antony who is a popular Malayalam movie director and is known for his critically acclaimed films such as Jana Gana Mana and Kanyaka Talkies and also the recipient of several awards, including the Kerala State Film Award for Best Director,spoke about the importance of student unions and the role they play in the development of students. He urged the students to use the union as a platform to voice their concerns and to work together for the betterment of the college.

The event also marked the celebration of Kerala Piravi Day. Students presented a variety of cultural programs, including dances, songs, and skits. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the union president.
