A seven-day residential camp for second-year B.Ed. students commenced today at St. Joseph’s College of Teacher Education for Women, Ernakulam, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS). The camp, from 8/12/2024 till 14/12/2024 ,an integral part of the B.Ed. curriculum, was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Alice Joseph, who emphasized the significance of such initiatives in shaping socially responsible educators. The program aims to instil values of empathy, teamwork, and leadership through a variety of activities, including community service, skill development workshops, cultural programs, and awareness campaigns on environmental conservation and health. Students will also participate in adventure activities and team-building exercises designed to foster collaboration and resilience. The camp provides an opportunity for future teachers to engage with the community, enhance their social awareness, and develop practical skills that align with their academic learning.
